As we all know, our pastoral position has been empty since the retirement of Pastor Borows on January 15, 2020. Since that date, our Call Committee has been very busy with the process of finding a replacement Pastor for our church. There have been many meetings and video chats. A possible candidate has shown interest in our vacant position, and has personally met with members of the Call Committee and, on June 18th, was present at a Special Church Council meeting. At the end of that meeting, a council vote was taken, and a unanimous decision made, to invite this candidate to provide a sermon to the congregation. The date selected is July 5, next Sunday. We hope you will join us in welcoming Chris Boyd as our guest preacher and liturgist.
PRAYER OF THE DAY, We Hear God's Word
PLEASE GO TO SERMONS FOR THE PRAYER OF THE DAY AND FOR THE LESSONS
Resurrection Lutheran Church will begin in-person worship services on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. This service will include Holy Communion. There will be many changes in the order of our worship service, to maintain current social distancing guidelines from both the CDC and State of Ohio. Facial masks will be required while in church. If you do not have one, we will provide one. Several pews will be blocked off and there will be limits to how many will be allowed in each pew. There will be hand sanitizer throughout the church. Sunday School has been suspended until further notice. We are praying that by our efforts to meet current COVID-19 distancing guidelines, we are helping to curb the spread of the virus.
Praise Hymn Band Returns
MARK YOUR CALENDARS
